There are some top notch comedians coming to Halifax Comedy Festival from 21st-29th October.

If you’re a fan of Channel 4’s The Last Leg, then you’ll no doubt be a fan of Australian comedian Adam Hill. He’s launching the festival with the first date of his autumn UK Clown Heart tour at the Victoria Theatre on September 30.

Jimmy Carr, Al Murray, Romesh Ranganathan, Russell Kane, Paul Sinha,  Andrew Lawrence, James Acaster, Rob Rouse and Steve Royle are all tickling the funny bones of Halifax folk, so many sure you grab your ticket before it’s too late.

If one-off workshops and smaller comedy nights are your thing, then there’s plenty on offer. The Nutty Roast at Square Chapel brings together a diverse range of comedians including 82 year old Lynne Ruth Miller. Improvisation troupe The Noise Next Door will drop into Halifax with their third national tour, no doubt impressing everyone with their quick comedy skills.

More than 20 events are taking place across eight quirky venues from Halifax’s little-known Wellington Rooms, to local music venue, the Arden Road Social Club.

Tickets are now on sale from www.halifaxcomedyfestival.com.
